What is Effingham County Public Transportation?
Effingham County Public Transportation (ECPT) is a demand-response, door-to-door public transportation service which serves all populations.
Demand-response means that riders call the dispatch office in advance to schedule their ride (whenever possible, we request that rides be scheduled 24 hours in advance).
You can use ECPT to go anywhere....visit friends and family, get groceries, go to work or school....anywhere you would drive yourself. Just call ahead, pay your fare, and go!
The mission of the ECPT system is to increase access to employment, education, medical, and social activities while providing safe, affordable, and efficient transportation for all.
ECPT is a coordinated partnership between Central Illinois Public Transit and Rides Mass Transit District. Either provider may pick you up, vehicles will be clearly marked as "Effingham County Public Transportation".
